Vision

Our aim as a department is to bring maths to life for students, relating it to real life scenarios and continuously identifying careers and every day experiences where an understanding of maths is essential. In every year group our end goal is to make maths relevant and our lessons put the correlation between maths, other subjects and everyday life at their core. Students get continuous opportunities to apply their basic maths skills through problem solving and investigation and this applies to all stages of all topics throughout the students' journey through the Colne.
